Jacob August Cialona, affectionately known as Jake, was born on July 10, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana. After a fulfilling life, he passed away in Beaumont, Texas, on July 19, 2025, leaving behind a rich legacy of kindness and compassion.

Jake enjoyed a dedicated career as a maintenance mechanic, retiring in 2005 from Goodyear. His professional journey was marked by his unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence. Outside of work, Jake was an active member of his community, notably participating in YMBL, where he was well-known for being an amiable presence.

Described by those who knew him as larger than life, Jake was a kind and helpful soul, demonstrating immense love for his family. Known affectionately as Pawpaw, he cherishes the memories he created with his family. He was a loving husband to Joyce Cialona and a devoted father to daughters Gina Cialona Davis and her husband Chad, Amy Cialona, and Michael Hollyfield. He also embraced his role as a step-parent to Monica McClendon and Bill Baker, as well as Jason Leleaux and Robbi. Jake's family extended to include his cherished sister-in-law Paulette (Cialona) Marrero and Alden, along with 13 adoring grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Jake's passion for music was a significant part of his life. In his younger years, he delighted many as a singer in a band, sharing his love for music with those fortunate enough to be in his presence. A proud Mason, Jake treasured the bonds formed within that brotherhood. He had a vibrant personality that attracted friends wherever he went; he truly did not know a stranger.

His memory will be honored with visitation services held on July 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Both events will take place at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home located at 1155 N 11th St, Beaumont, TX 77702.

Jake is preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Lorenz Cialona, his sister Jacquelyn Agnelly, his brother Salvador Cialona, his granddaughter Danielle Cialona, and his son-in-law James "Kemo" McClendon.

As we remember Jacob August Cialona, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness, love for family, and enthusiasm for life. His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched and the cherished memories held by all who knew him.
