James Moseley

James "Jim" Anthony Moseley, 72, of Orange, Texas and formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, August 10, 2009, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2009, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orange with Reverend Joseph P. Daleo officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Bridge City, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

James was born January 11, 1937, in Rock Island, Illinois. He was the son of Lloyd James Moseley and Mary Staut Moseley. James worked for Illinois Bell Telephone for 35 years. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Lions Club of New Lenox, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Stephen Charles Moseley.

James is survived by his daughter, Cheri Arnett of Bettendorf, Iowa; daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Matt Sottos of Coal Valley, Illinois; son and daughter-in-law; Jay and Mary Moseley of Orange; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Craig Sharp of Moline, Illinois, Karri and Ken Gelski of Silvis, Illinois and Tracey and Jim Gilliam of Beaumont, Texas.

He is also survived by his eighteen grandchildren; Eric Arnett, Adam Arnett, Stephen Sottos, Jane Sottos, Andrew Moseley, Amanda Moseley, Katy Moseley, Sarah Moseley, Amber Hoyt, Ryan Sargeant, Jaquillian Sharp, Jeffery Sharp, Allisa Sharp, Scott Gelski, Sam Gelski, Sean Gelski, Dalton Gilliam and Zachary Gilliam; great-grandchildren, Lily Ryan Holt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joel and Joanne Moseley of Matteson, Illinois and Dan and Bonnie Moseley of Springfield, Illinois; and also Rosalie Verstreate and Janice Westfall.
