James R. Mouton, 70, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 21, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
James was born June 20, 1938 in Jefferson County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retiree from Firestone/Bridgestone.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, Doris Mouton. He is survived by his children, Valerie Ardoin and husband Phil of Houston, Victoria LaBauve and husband Leo of Bridge City, Alex Mouton and wife Peggy of Georgetown, Crystal Curl and husband Jeff of Bridge City; step-daughter, Charlotte Greineisen and husband Bob of Dickinson.
Also surviving James are his beloved grandchildren, Tyrell and Brianca Boutte, Layne, Rebecca, and Kristene Mouton, Jordan and Brandon Curl, Jenet Ardoin, Corey and Amber Greineisen and Clent LaBauve.
James enjoyed traveling in his RV, collecting antiques and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, with the Reverend Jack Comer officiating.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 to 6:45 in the evening.
