Jim inspired me to do the right thing in my life when I was at my bottom. Through his preaching, guidance, and kind words my life changed forever. And who would have thought that when I bought a house my new neighbor would be Jim, Donna and their family. Jim was also there to stand with me at the courthouse when I needed friends and family to support the battle I was about to enter. You helped my son through a turbulent time in his life. I truly believe God brings people into your life when you need them. What a good person and I look forward to seeing you again one day. Rest in peace. I will miss you neighbor. -Terri Finn

I have known Jim for a long time...we went to South Mesquite Baptist Church also and we went to school together. He was and always has been a very nice person. None of us were surprised when he went into the ministry. He was always a stand up guy. Donna was such a blessing to us as well!! Love you all. And we will see him eventually!! Praying for your whole family.

What do you say about a man who has been part of your family for so long? Bro. Jim (and he will always be Bro. Jim to us) came to Woodland when my father in law was fighting his last battle with cancer. We will never forget his kindness and compassion to our family. We will also never forget the years of faithful service to our church and to the Lord. He thought of the lost first and foremost and was always so happy when one more soul was added to the body of Christ. I will particularly miss his never ending repertoire of stories: stories from the post office, the grocery store, the furniture store, the military, and even seminary. When he got on a roll, the laughter flowed! Yes, that sense of humor was special. He was special. We were privileged to call him Pastor and friend. We will see you again one day, Bro. Jim. Much love to you, Donna, Jessica, Mitchell and Caleb and all the family. Gary and Sarah Zimmerman

The Rev Dr James R Fuller July 12, 2016
Raymond McHenry, Robert Miller, and I enjoyed a recent lunch with Brother Jim. We talked about "old times" and shared a few laughs. We acknowledged that he was living his last chapter on this earth and parted with hugs, affection, and gratitude for our time together. Jim was a good man and a dedicated pastor. He loved our Lord and made a significant contribution to many lives. I am so grateful that he was my friend. --Jim Fuller, senior pastor of Calder Baptist Church, Beaumont, Texas
