Jan Louis Ivey

Jan Louis Ivey, 70, of Loudon, Tennessee, and a former 28 year resident of Orange, died Saturday, September 15, 2007, in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Friday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

A graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City, with Reverend Bill Phillips of St. Paul?s Episcopal Church of Orange.

Mr. Ivey was born March 12, 1937, in Winnsboro, TX, the son of Louis Ivey and Marie Gibson Ivey.

Mr. Ivey was retired from James River as the plant manager. He graduated in 1960 from Texas A&M with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

He was also a member of St. Paul?s Episcopal Church, Ducks Unlimited and The Society of Plastic Engineers.

Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife, Bobbie Ivey; daughters, Julie Allensworth and husband Richard of Orange, Kelly Ferguson of Kingwood and Shana Lincecum and husband Roger of Orange; grandchildren, Alyssa and Brandon Allensworth, Andrea and Carley Ferguson and sister, Carol McCrae of Fredericksburg.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jim McCrae, Mark Borski, Bill Thompson, Gary Richardson, Fred Ferguson, Roger Lincecum, Richard Allensworth and Brandon Allensworth.

For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
