Janet Patton Braus, 50, of Bridge City, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City, with Father Steven Leger serving as celebrant.
Visitation will be 5-8:30 p.m. Monday with a Christian Wake Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Janet was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on August 2, 1958. She was the daughter of Juliet and Charles Patton, Jr.
She was a longtime resident of Bridge City where she was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Joseph Braus and sister, Susan Patton Richard; Janet is survived by her sisters, Marilyn Williams and her husband, Jeff, of Beaumont, Kathryn Patton of Latrobe, Pennsylvania; nieces and nephew, Kerri Richard, Robin Richard, Autumn Williams Morrell and Austin Williams.
Janet is also survived by her brothers-in-law, James Braus and his wife, Sissy, Mark Braus; and 11 other nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Braus, Mark Braus, Austin Williams, Frank Morrell and Jeff Braus.
