Janice Lawrence

Janice Lawrence, 76, of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, to be with her Lord and Savior after a valiant six year battle with ovarian cancer.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Robbie Holland of First Assembly of God.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Janice was born in Caldwell, Texas, on December 15, 1932. She was the daughter of Herbert and Beatrice Strong Poehl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Lawrence; and brother, Demois Poehl.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tonya Suggs and her husband Johnny of Orange; son, James Lawrence and his wife Tina of Orange; grandchildren, Miranda Lawrence and Farrin Lawrence; sister, Maxine Ryan and her husband Howard of Rockdale, TX; and brother, Carvel Poehl and his wife Carol of Groveton, TX.
