Janice Carol (Fielder) Lawson, 58, of Beaumont was born February 5, 1958 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Thomas E. and Jan Ann Fielder and passed away January 12, 2017 at her residence in Beaumont.

Janice was a retired paramedic who loved spending time on the bayou, dancing and listening to Cajun music. She loved her family and had a special place in her heart for her dogs.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Capps-Sunday of Beaumont; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela Ann and Dan Brinkley of Nederland; sister and sister-in-law, Jolynn Fielder and Louisa of Maineville, Ohio; brother, Thomas E. Fielder, Jr. and wife, Amy of Sour Lake, Texas; and fiancée, Rowlan Mallett of Beaumont.

Janice and I grew up together in Tyrrell Park started 1st grade together we were separated when she moved to Lumberton and I moved to Vidor but remained friends until this day even though we didn't go to the same high school that didn't stop us from hanging out together I will forever be grateful for the friendship we shared love you Janice you will be missed ....Friends for life Janis Phelps Cornett!
