Jason Wayne Verrett, Sr., 36, of Silsbee, passed away on October 27, 2017, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
Born in Galveston, Texas, on July 23, 1981, he was the son of Tuffy Schroeder, Sandra (Minter) Schroeder and Phillip Verrett. Jason was a stay at home daddy whose greatest joy was being a father and husband. His life revolved around his boys and his wife, Stacey. He was very compassionate despite his rough exterior. Jason always seemed to find an instant connection with people and he had a contagious laugh. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Jason is survived by his soulmate of 15 years, Stacey Verrett; parents, Sandra Schroeder of Lumberton, Texas, Tuffy Schroeder of China, Texas, and Phillip Verrett of Beaumont, Texas; children, Jason Wayne Verrett, Jr. of Silsbee, Kason Hunter Verrett of Silsbee, and Rylie Verrett of Lumberton; uncle, Gene Minter of Ivanhoe, Texas; and his siblings, Phillip Verrett, Jr. of Orange, Stacy Parker of Beaumont, and Christi Taylor of Vidor.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 5th at 3 o'clock in Tyrrell Park in Beaumont, Tx.
