J.D. Savoie

James Douglas Savoie, 69, of Orange passed away, Saturday, February 16, 2008 in Orange.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orange. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the funeral home. A rosary service will begin at 7:00 p.m.

J.D. was born in Silsbee, TX on October 28, 1938 to John A. and Brooksie Wilson Savoie. J.D. was a supervisor at DuPont Sabine River Works and served in the National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

J.D. is survived by his wife, Lois Savoie of Orange, daughter, Jodi Savoie Eubanks and husband Bob of Miramar, FL, and son, Jon Savoie and wife Melissa of Orange. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Brooke Allison Eubanks, Kenneth James Eubanks, John Douglas Savoie, Jarrett James Savoie, sister, Barbara Breaux and brother, Bobby Savoie and wife Dorsie both of Orange.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Lunsford, Arthur Carter, David Hicks, Merrill Stringer, Jon Savoie, Bob Eubanks, Doug Wilson, and Prentis Millican.
