Jeane Russell St. Clergy, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Jeane particularly enjoyed getting lost in the pages of romance novels. Her home was a reflection of her unique style, adorned with cherished Ethan Allen furniture and a delightful collection of Chicken Figurines. She had a keen sense of fashion, always looking her best with a weekly hair appointment, and was known for her particular preferences for her coffee, tea (always accompanied with sweetener and a bowl full of lemons), and Diet Dr. Pepper. A faithful member of Victory Temple, Jeane shared her beautiful voice as a cherished member of the church choir. She was a prayer warrior. She would have weekly prayer meetings with her best friend Trudy Burgdorf. Her heart held a special place for her beloved dachshunds, including Meagan and Skippy, who brought immense joy and companionship into her life. Jeane's thoughtful nature and genuine warmth touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Jeane is survived by her devoted daughter, Deborah Chamblee and her husband, Jay of Nederland; her loving son, Paul Russell and his wife, Angela of Lancaster, Ohio; and her cherished grandchildren, Alex Chamblee of Nederland, Bret Chamblee and his wife, Erin of Nederland, Hannah & Samantha Russell, Emily Salamy and Samuel Barkley, all of Ohio. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Kasen Chamblee, Adilynn Chamblee (due in October 2026), AJ Klecan, and one expecting great-grandchild (due January 2027). She is also survived by her sisters, Patricia Hodges of Montana and Elizabeth Juvenois of Nederland. Jeane was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Katheryn Hodges; her husbands, Fred W. Russell and Lloyd St. Clergy, Jr.; her brother, Stephen Hodges; her sister, Katheryn Nix; and her beloved fur pups, Meagan and Skippy.
