In Loving Memory of Jeanene Louise Gay

November 10, 1960 – July 15, 2026

Jeanene Louise Gay, age 65, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of profound love, devotion, and selfless care for everyone she held dear.

Born on November 10, 1960, in Port Arthur, Texas, Jeanene was the cherished daughter of Ruth and Jesse Bellair. It was in her youth, back in 1980, that her life changed forever. While working as teenagers at the local Pizza Inn, Jeanene met her soulmate and the absolute love of her life, Scott Alan Gay. The two built a beautiful life together, rooted in a rare and deep friendship that spanned 45 years of marriage. Through every up and down that life brought their way, Jeanene was the steady rock who always had a way of guiding her family through to the other side.

Jeanene’s greatest joy in life was taking care of people. Her nurturing spirit was boundless; she dedicated many years to lovingly caregiving for her parents, and she was fiercely, unconditionally there for her children. Yet, one of her greatest joys was found in caring for Scott, her best friend and partner in all things. Together, they welcomed and raised three children, filling their home with warmth and devotion.

Her love will live on through her surviving family, including her beloved husband, Scott Gay; her children, Jesse Gay and his wife Stephanie of Graceville, Florida, Cortney Hester of Bridge City, Texas, and Christopher Gay of Garland, Texas. She is also survived by the grandchildren who brought her endless pride and joy: Gavyn Hester, Joseph Gay, Sydney Hester, Gabriel Gay, and Abigail Hester.

Also survived by her loving siblings, Scott Bellair, Christina Ciampo, Jessica Bellair, Cathy Lambert, and Loretta Blanton.

Jeanene will be remembered always for her generous heart, her nurturing soul, and the fierce love she gave to her family.

A memorial service will be held July 27, 2026 at 1 o’clock at Trinity Baptist Church located at 4837 39th ST, Port Arthur, Texas 77742.
