Jeannie Riddling

Jeannie Riddling, 80, of Bridge City, died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Harbor Hospital in Orange.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend John Bickham, Reverend Charles Miller and Reverend Robert Hargrave.

Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Jeannie was born in Prescott, Arkansas on September 24, 1929. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Bridge City and the Red Hat Society.

She had been a volunteer at Park Place Medical Center and enjoyed playing dominos.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mae Loe and her husband of 55 years, Gene Riddling.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Louis Davis of Bridge City; son, David Riddling of Hemphill; grandchildren, Shannon Pruett and her husband Brad, Nikki Soileau and her husband Chris, Ashley Charlton and her husband Drew, Chere Johnson and her husband, Billy.

Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Blake and Mason Pruett, Alex Soileau and Christina Johnson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Bill Edd Dixon of Orange and Martha and Jim Cockrill of Sulphur, Louisiana.

I was so sad to hear of Jeannie's passing. She was a great friend and neighbor to my parents, Jim and Wilda Vidrine. I loved her also, she was a precious spirit. I was both shocked and saddened to hear about Jeannie's death.
