Jeri Lavon Herford, 66, of Beaumont passed away peacefully Friday, July 29, 2016 while residing at Beaumont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jeri was born Feb 20, 1950, however to Jeri, her real birthday was always July 4, 1955 the date on which she was adopted by August and Mary Herford. Jeri attended Beaumont schools where she graduated from French High School.

Jeri accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was passionate about her faith and her family. Despite her many obstacles, Jeri remained upbeat and always had an ear to listen to anyone in need. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.

Jeri was preceded in death by her father August Herford and brother, Rick Herford.

Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Mary Herford of Beaumont;

aunts, Ann Cobb, Joyce Boden, Elda Burlin, Sylvia Jones, Pat Lynch; uncles, Benny Herford, Lloyd Herford, Walter Herford, Jim Herford, Curtis Davis, Allan Davis; a host of other family members; Louisiana loved ones; cousins and many friends.
