Jesse Wiley Campbell

Jesse Wiley "Jack" Campbell, 82, of Orange, died Monday, June 1, 2009, in his home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Barry Bradley of First Baptist Church in Orange.

Graveside service will be 4:00 pm at the Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie, Louisiana.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Jack was born on July 4, 1926, in Hall Summit, Louisiana. He was the son of Jesse Calvin Campbell and Glennie Ola Newman Campbell. Jack was supervisor at DuPont and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James Olan Campbell.

Survivors include his spouse, Addie May Root Campbell; son, Jesse W. "Butch" Campbell, Jr. of Orange; daughter, Cindi Brown and her husband John of Santa Fe, Texas; and 6 grandchildren, Bridget Brown, Sky Brown, Maci Brown, Brett Campbell, Abbie Campbell and Allyson Campbell.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Steven Stone, Sam Stone, Sky Brown, Brett Campbell, Kevin Garriga and Jerry Beard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shorty Roddy, Fred Collins, Ralph Cooper, Ringgold Class of 1943, Quincy Procell and John Brown.

Jack lived a rewarding life with his wife of almost 60 years, and will be remembered as the head of his family, whom he spoiled with good food, fun times in the sun, and loving guidance. We'll miss you, Papa Jack.
