Jimmie Lee Sterling, Sr. passed away November 27, 2014 at his home in Milam, TX. He was born November 3, 1938 in Beaumont to Jerry and Mary Matteson Sterling. After retiring he moved to God’s country – the lake where he could hunt and fish to his heart’s delight.

Jimmy was preceded in death by 2 grand-daughters and 1 unborn great grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sterling; children, Sharon Ann Crawford, Jimmie Sterling, Jr., Mark Wayne Sterling and Michael Louis Sterling; step-children, Peggy Sue Anderson, Lloyd Cecil Childs Jr., Patrick Ray Child and Jason Paul Childs; 2 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 1 great-grand-daughter and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

A service celebrating Jimmie’s life will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Claybar Funeral Home with a gathering of family and friends preceding the service. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland, Texas.
