JoAnn Mier

JoAnn Mier, 64, of Orange, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, in her home.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Mr. Kelley Burch of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, Louisiana.

Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

JoAnn was born on June 27, 1944, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Willis and Lillian Bertrand Deville. She enjoyed working in flowerbeds and loved her grand kids.

She was the wife of Maxie Mier and is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Bonnie Christine Nicole Hess; brothers, Wilson Deville, Howard Deville; sisters, Virginia Guidry and Betsey Deville.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Dupuy

and her husband Mike of Orange, Margaret Dixon and

her husband Thomas of Orange, Pricilla Hess and her husband Scott of Huntsville, AR; grandchildren, Gabriel, Michelle, Derek; sisters, Louanna Benoit, Dorothy Jean Wilson, Ida Parish, Ruby Miller, Elby Deville; and brother, Elton Deville.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Howard Dobson, Jr., Jackie Roy Deville, David Earl Miller, Johnny Deville, Judd Dobson and David Foster.
