Jocelyn Leona Webb was the second daughter of an unconditional loving and self-sacrificing mother, Ethel B. Lee Webb and James Webb. She was born and lived her entire life in Port Arthur, Texas. She aspired to be an honorable person of good character.

Jocelyn and I attended Lincoln and graduated together in 1969. She was one of the most intelligent people that I have met anywhere in the world. She was so mature and so focused. I admired her so much. More importantly, she was a nice person and always treated everyone with respect. I thought about Jocelyn from time to time through the years and wondered whatever happened to her. She left a lasting impression on me. May she now rest in eternal peace. Broderick Grubb LHS '69

From kindergarten at Phillis Wheatley Elementary School through 12th grade at Lincoln High School in Port Arthur. Jocelyn always exhibited herself is the number one student in our classes. I remember that her entire family lived a meek and humble life, and they excelled in everything they did, and they had a very close family relationship. I know heaven his opened up a new door for Jocelyn, and she is no longer that quiet person, but is singing with heavenly angels now. I lost track of Joycelen after I flew from the "Beehive" but memories are still great of the ones that I have. I thank God for allowing me to even know Jocelyn for the times that I did, and I pray for her family to dwell on the fond memories of her. I pray that memories of our class valedictorian will live on. The "Beehive" has released another "honey from the cone." Linda Addison Shankle
