Funeral services for Joel Allen "Joe" Boykin, 58, of Beaumont will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sabine Tabernacle with Reverend Jimmy Boykin officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.

Joe was born on August 11, 1950 in Jefferson County, Texas to the late Earnest Nolan Boykin Sr. and Frances America Childress and went to be with his Lord on February 19, 2009. His church was the Sabine Tabernacle and he had worked as a welder with the Boilermakers Local.

He is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Nolan and Jo Ann Boykin of Lumberton, Jimmy and Karlene Boykin of Beaumont, and David and Carolyn Boykin of Beaumont.
