John E. Walton

John E. Walton, 67, died Friday, February 6, 2009 in Winnie.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 9, 2009 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, at Attowa Cemetery outside of St. Augustine.

Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

John was born on August 29, 1941 in Chenieo, TX. He was the son of Hollis and Leola Counts Walton and worked at American General as an insurance agent. He was a member of the Bridge City Jaycees and Harmony Baptist Church as well as a musician in a local band called The Sensations. John was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jan Walton and parents.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, John Thomas Walton, Scotty Walton, Donald Ray & Pam Walton, Joseph Hollis Walton, and Randall Wayne and Misty Walton; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Billie Evans, Margaret Henson, Grace Hall, and Hollis "Buddy" Walton.

If friends should desire, memorial contributions may be made the Alzheimer Association.

Johnny... I have so many memories. Memories of us playing music together and all of the good times. It is so hard to believe you're gone.
