John Robert Peveto

John Robert Peveto, 76, of Crystal Beach, died Friday, January 15, 2010, in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2010, in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Eulogies will be provided by friends and former co-workers.

Burial will follow at Bland Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

John was born in Orange on November 23, 1933, and raised on his parent's dairy farm in the McLewis Community of Orange County. He graduated from Stark High School in 1952 and went on to join the U.S. Marine Corp. and serve during the Korean War. He was very proud of his service to his country.

John worked at Gulf Chemical in Orange, retiring in 1982, following 27 years of service.

He was known for doing good deeds and helping others. John loved his family and was loved by many.

John is survived by his wife, June Monic Peveto of Crystal Beach; brother, Jerry Peveto of Orange; sons, Ronnie Peveto and V.R. Peveto, both of Orangefield; daughters, Patti Martin and her husband, Tommy of Orange, Johnna Blount of Port Neches, Andi Rodrigue and her husband, Kurt of Orangefield.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Scott Peveto and his wife, Erika, Shane Peveto, Slayde Martin, Maci Rodrigue, Taylor Blount, Paige Blount, Dalton Peveto, Blaine Peveto; and great grandson, Brett Peveto.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Martin, Kurt Rodrigue, V.R. Peveto, Scott Peveto, Shane Peveto and Slayde Martin.
