Johnnie Margaret Rye Hill, 82, of Orange died Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at The Meadows in Orange.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at the 5th St. location of Claybar Funeral Home. Reverend David Berkheimer of Community Church in Orange officiating.
Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Johnnie was born December 17, 1926, in Kountze to John Morgan and Rosie Lee Anderson Rye.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lewis Hill, parents, Rosie and John Rye and great grandson, Kory Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Cherrice Smith and husband Robert of Orange and son Richard John Hill of Orange; grandchildren, Robynn Bland and husband Joshua, Robert Anthony Smith and wife Valley and Lewis Hill; great grandchildren, Timothy Smith, Sean Bland, Morgan Bland, Alexis Smith, Slade Allen, Braylynn Allen, Zoyie Smith and great great grandson, Alek Peyton Bland.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Joshua Bland, Robert Anthony Smith, Timothy Smith, Sean Bland, Morgan Bland and Richard Hill.
