Johnny Ray VanArsdale, 56, of Orange, died Saturday, April 11, 2009.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange with burial following at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. VanArsdale was born in Beaumont on July 4, 1952. He worked as an iron worker and boilermaker.

Preceded in death by his brother, Joseph VanArsdale, he is survived by his wife, Helen VanArsdale; parents, Helen and Allen Mott; daughter, Amy Fowler and granddaughter, Rachelle Fowler.

Also surviving are his brothers, Benny VanArsdale, Alvin VanArsdale; sisters, Mary Wennerstrom, Marie LaFleur and Bertha VanArsdale.

Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Mott, Jr., Charlie Fowler, Jr., Alvin VanArsdale, Robert Villarreal, Billy Fowler and Charlie Fowler, III.

Honorary pallbearer will be Benny VanArsdale.
