Johnny Fay Richardson, 91, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on October 30, 2017 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Visitation will be held at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home on 11th St., Beaumont, TX on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Funeral services will take place at 11:00a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Wright of First Baptist Church, Vidor, TX officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park of Vidor.

Johnny Fay was born April 19, 1926 in Newton, TX and graduated from Buna High School in 1943. She resided in Beaumont for 20 years and Vidor for 50 years. She was a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker who loved to prepare her delicious meals for family and friends. She was also an avid Houston Astros and Texas Rangers baseball fan.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Alban Richardson; daughter, Susan Simmons; parents, Horace Young and Ola Mae McNaughten; sister, Olga Young; grandson, Jason Wellons; brothers-in-law, Raymond Anderson, Osborn Richardson and his wife, Mary Dee.

Johnny Fay is survived by daughters, Sheila Richardson and Linda Sharon Baxter and her husband, Ronald Baxter; grandchildren Clinton Wellons and wife, Colleen, Kimberly Baxter, Christy McCoy and husband, Cary Don, Amy Sexton and husband, Joe, Jeromy Simmons and wife, Jennifer, granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Wellons; great-grandchildren Laci Randall, Chelsea Eaves, Corby Lee, Kelley Ballard, Joshua Wellons, Megan Wellons, Zachary Wellons, Rhiannon Stevenson and Samara Simmons; ten step-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister Ogden Anderson; nieces Mary Chesnutt, JoAnn Richardson, Donna Cummings, Elizabeth Sanderson; and nephew Ralph Richardson.

She left many more relatives and friends who loved and respected her very much, especially her brother and sisters in Christ at First Baptist Church in Vidor where she was a member for 50 years, her lifelong best friend, Bernice Clark, and her caregiver Barbara Johnson.

The family would like to send many thanks to the St. Elizabeth staff and all the doctors that cared for her.

Sharon and shelia ur mother was lovely she always had a kind word ...loved her so ...ah err is up there checking on buddy Susan mary dee buddy jason mr JIMMY making sure that they all behave ...hope heaven doesn't have any short trees with limbs one could peel off and make a switch out of ....I remember she use to make Susan and I and the . Rest go pick one out when we were bad ....dhr never used it ....just the thought of it scared us to behave ...will miss her greatly love you all
