Jose was my brother. I called him Bubba. My brother was the absolute best daddy anybody could ask for. My heart is broken. I wish circumstances were different. But even though my brother is no longer physically here, he will ALWAYS be here in spirit. I love love love him. And i love my niece Presley even more.

My mind still can't process that you're no longer with us. My heart is broken. As everyone else has shared, you were an amazing person. I can't think of a point in my life where you weren't involved. You were like a big brother to me. At this time, I'm just going to be thankful for the times we've shared. Whether it was at the restaurant, a family gathering or just a phone call, you always found a way to make me laugh. Our family is lucky that no matter how much time passed between seeing each other, our love brought us back like it was just yesterday. This will be true in our after life. I love you, Chunky

Man oh man where to begin.... My heart hurts.... You are such an amazing person and we are so lucky to have had you in our life's. How are we suppose to say good bye to some one who still had so much life to live??? I have read what our cousins and your friends have said about you and its all true. You were an amazing person with a HUGE heart!!!! Our family is suffering a great loss and the world just got a little bit darker. I'm going to miss your country boy twang, your beautiful smile, your goofy chuckle, your love of pink or bright colored shirts, the Mexican Ice Cube. But most of all I'm simply going to miss you !!!! I have so much to say but cant put any of it into words. I love you very much and I'm glad I got to tell you that the other day. You mean so much to me!!!! I want to write so much but it all just seem so irrelevant. The world will not be the same without you in it. I love you and will miss you tremendously Chunky!!!!

I sit here in silence, breathing in deeply since my heart has an ache it has never experienced. Jose', my sweet cousin who was like a brother to me, you are gone and I am so brokenhearted. I am thankful that when we spoke for the last time, you knew how much you meant to me. I love you so much and I know how much you loved me because you told me. Two things we had in our relationship, pure joy and love for one another. I can still see your smile, hear your laugh, and loved how your hand would cover your mouth when something made you chuckle. It was infectious. I have nothing but wonderful memories and am so proud to have had you in my life. You have no idea how much you are going to be missed by everyone. You are loved by so many and I hope you can feel all our love from above. Rest easy, Primo. You are in God's arms now and we will meet again and I will hug you for ALL ETERNITY. Until then, I will hold all the memories I have of you in my heart. I Love You, Jose', my little Chunky..forever.

Jose was an awesome dad. I have never met someone so loving and caring towards their daughter than he was. She was his everything. She was his happiness. He had rituals with her, like bringing her to breakfast on the weekends or picking her up from school and stopping by McDonalds to get her some ice cream or to Sonic for a slushy. He seemed to put her needs and wants above anything else. Despite basically spoiling her, he was able to instil discipline and respect in her. He was a great man and a great friend. I thought of him as my brother. He was my washer playing buddy, my DJ, my right hand man. He had an exceptional personality that would always bring joy to those around him, especially me. He seemed to never meet a stranger. Once you met him, you instantly sensed his caring personality and realized that he was sincere when he said “pleased to meet you.” He would find something in common with you to talk about and before you know it, you would feel like y’all had been friends for years. He would never walk past you like he didn’t know you, no matter how rushed he was. He was not self-serving, he was a people pleaser. He was a very giving man. When I would have get-togethers at my house, he would always be the first to show up and he would volunteer to help with whatever I was doing, whether it was frying fish, cooking crawfish, or barbequing. If I wasn’t careful, he would take over and have the job done before I realized what happened. He was a man’s man. Someone you could count on to be there if you needed him, no questions asked. He would be there to help his family and friends, and he was glad to do it. Adjectives such as loving, loyal, trustworthy, and dependable are what I think of when I think of Jose, my friend forever.
