Joseph Joe Huie David

Joseph Huie David died on December 29, 2009 at the age of 21. Visitation will be held at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange beginning Friday January 1, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. with Rosary/Vigil at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Mr. Melvin Payne. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange celebrated by Reverend Joseph Daleo on Saturday January 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Following the funeral Mass, cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.

Joseph was born on June 28, 1988 in Denton, TX and preferred to be called Joe. He moved to Orange shortly after his birth, where he lived until 2001. He lived in Kingwood until his death. Joe worked as an apprentice electrician. Joe never met a stranger. He was known for his sweet smile and beautiful blue eyes. In his youth he enjoyed Tae Kwon Do and earned a black belt. He loved going fishing and even became an avid redfish fisherman. Spending time with his cousins was always a priority and he would do anything for anyone. Joe loved music and enjoyed playing both bass guitar and drums. He had many aspirations and goals, but his mother was the most important person in his life. Joe brought light to everyone's days and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Julius H. David, and grandmothers, Frances Dullahan David and Fran Meindl David, Uncle Jimbo David, and Uncle John and Aunt Dolores Dullahan. He is survived by his mother, Jean Marie David of Kingwood, his aunts and uncles, John and Jane David of Chicago, Larry and Cheryl David of Orange, Julie and Terry Lyons of Austin, Mary Irene and Tom Murray of Porter, Joanie Foreman of Nederland, Janie and Carl Leedy of California, Annie and Jim Koehler of Arlington, and Cathleen Dullahan of New York. His cousins: Brent and Dani David, Nicole and Johnny Parks, Rebecca Adams, Kathryn Campbell, Chris, Anna, Carrie, Matthew, and Michael Benefield, C.J., Michelle and Frances Leedy, Brody and Derek David, Keith, Kellie, and Katie Koehler, Jim Graham, and Jenny and Vince Kay and second cousins: Hannah and Emilie Mayfield, Caitlin and John Bates, Addison Parks, and Nicholas Campbell.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Hyland, Eric Jacob, Aaron Goldman, John Brown, Jeremy Stembridge, and Trent Seastrunk.

Contributions in Joseph's honor may be made to St. Mary Catholic School Foundation, 2600 Bob Hall Road, Orange, TX 77630.

Joey, we will miss your blue eyes, your warm spirit, and your inviting smile. We take great comfort knowing you are with Papa, Grandma, Uncle Jimbo, Uncle John and Aunt Doe. We will cherish your memory forever.

Condolences
