Josie Sherville Lucia, 80, of Orange, passed away, Monday, June 2, 2008.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Reverend Joseph P. Daleo officiating.

Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Orange.

A visitation was held 5:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Josie was born July 26, 1927, in Jeanerette, LA, to Clarence and Josephine Ferruggia Sherville.

Josie was preceded death by her parents, her husband, Anthony Lucia, Sr., two brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Josie Powell and husband Michael of Orange, Geraldine Magnuson and husband Rocky, Frances Lucia Morgan and husband Steven of Bridge City; sons, Anthony Lucia, Jr., Alan Lucia and Vincent Lucia all of Orange; grandchildren, Melissa Sawyers, Bill Whitley and wife LeAnn, Teresa Whitley, Rocky Magnuson, Chris Magnuson, Scott Magnuson, Curt Lucia, Steven Morgan and Misti Lucia; great grandchildren, Victoria Sawyers, AnnaGrace Sawyers, Madison Whitley and Landon Lucia; and brother, Paul Sherville.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Loving Care and Odyssey Hospice for their love and care to Josie.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School, 2600 Bob Hall Rd., Orange, Texas, 77630.
