Joyce Evelyn Massey

Joyce Evelyn Massey, 77, of Orange, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, in Orange.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Kevin Kissel of Faith United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Born in San Leon, Texas on July 27, 1933, Joyce was the daughter of Frank Leo and Viola Davis Zlomke. Joyce attended St. John's United Methodist Church and was a secretary at Lorna Badon School of Fine Arts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Florence McFarren; sons, John Simpson and Gary Massey; and son-in-law, Stacy Campbell.

Joyce is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Cindy Simpson of Pearland; daughter, Janel Campbell of Orange; and son, Karl Massey of Orange.

She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, Alicia and Hayden Simpson, Dawn, David, and Cecile Massey, Kent Robnett, Nichole Menard, John Campbell, Brandon and Destiny Massey, and Maranda Kinder; 11

great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Cripps of Dallas; and brothers, Frankie Zlomke of LaPorte and James "Jimmy" Zlomke of Canyon Lake.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Hayden Simpson, Kent Robnett, John Campbell, Brandon Massey, David Massey and Matt Singleton. Honorary Pallbearer will be Justin Menard.
