Joyce Freeland Kinder

Joyce Freeland Kinder, 58, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home in Orange.

Born in Nacogdoches, Texas on December 8, 1954, Joyce was the daughter of James Fredrick Freeland, Sr. and Mabel Williamson Freeland. She was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles in Orange and in Crystal Beach. Joyce was also a member of the Eagle Riders Motorcycle Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Frankie Fountain and Sissy Bivins; and nephew, Slugger Freeland.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Tom Kinder of Orange; daughter, April Mendoza and fiancée, April Lombardo of Orange; son, Jeff Mendoza of Orange; and daughters, Brandy Kinder of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Heather Kinder of Magnolia, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Colby Mendoza, Raiden Mendoza, Kaylee, Kirsten, Gunnar, Gage, Bailey and Jada; brother, Bubba Freeland of Charlotte, North Carolina and sister, Doris Boyd of Spring, Texas.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Jack Darby, Brandon Massey, Stuart McKee, Ed Bacon, Shon Branham and Ben Hidalgo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Goodman, Jessie Bonin, Harold Hass and David Richard.
