Juanita Villar Laguna

Juanita Laguna, 87, was born May 16, 1924 to Valentin and Rosana Morales Villar in Tampico, Mexico and passed away April 5, 2012 in Beaumont. Juanita was a long time resident of Beaumont and a faithful volunteer at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Visitation will start at 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 8 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home with a rosary to take place at 6:00 p.m. and visitation to continue afterwards until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9th at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, officiated by Father LUIS Urizza with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.

Juanita is survived by her daughter, Patricia Cruz and husband, Robert of Beaumont; her son, Marco Laguna, of Beaumont; 7 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; a host of friends and 1 special Schnauzer, named General.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dionisio M. Laguna; son, Carlos Cardoso, her parents and brother, Felipe.
