Julie Phillips Eggert

1961 ∼ 2017

Julie Phillips Eggert, 56, of Beaumont Texas, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2017.

A memorial service will be held at Claybar Funeral Home (1155 N 11th St, Beaumont, TX 77702) on November 3rd, 2017 at 1:00 PM.

Julie was born in Beaumont Texas on October 2nd, 1961 to father Thomas Phillips and mother Helen Phillips. She attended school in Lumberton Texas where some accomplishments include presiding as a court member in the Neches River Festival and performing as a Drum Majorette with Lumberton High School and Baylor University. After graduation, she continued her educational studies at Baylor University in Waco Texas. After completing her studies at Baylor, Julie moved to Dallas Texas where she worked for companies such as NationStar and JP Morgan and Chase. In Dallas she met her husband William (Bill) M Eggert and they were married on November 24, 2007. In 2012 Julie and her husband Bill moved back to Beaumont where she started her career as a Real Estate Agent and Property Manager eventually becoming part of the wonderful team of Re/Max One.

Julie is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Phillips and Mother, Helen Phillips. She is survived by her husband William (Bill) Eggert, sister, JoAnn Sanders and husband Wayne of Laurel Hill Florida, Nieces, Stacey Mendoza and spouse Michael of Corpus Christi Texas, Laura Baker of Beaumont, Texas, Texas, Deborah Varier of Huntsville Texas, Tonya Parham of Saint Augustine Florida, Tiffany Martin of Paxton Florida, Nephew Roger Varieur Jr. and Great-nieces Emily Baker, Marley Mendoza , Great Nephews Daimen Mendoza and Wyatt Baker and fur babies Trixie and Chloe.

Julie was a shining light in many people’s lives that was extinguished way too soon. Her enthusiasm for her family both near and far was unrivaled. She leaves behind many lifelong friends both personal and professional. Julie was a Friend, a Sister, an Aunt, a Wife, and everyone that knew her would say that she excelled at all those titles and more. Though her loss is a shock and unbearably painful Julie would not want us to wrap ourselves up in a blanket of grief, instead she would wish us to reach for warm and comforting memories in which to wrap our bruised hearts. Life without Julie will go on, but it goes on just a little bit dimmer than before.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in remembrance for Julie to Boys Haven of America (409)866-2400 or to the Humane Society -Southeast Texas (409) 833-0504

Julie was a lifelong friend and associate at Re/max One Beaumont, We met in high school and had stayed in contact over the years. Julie was kind, smart and funny, she had a special way of making everyone feel important to her. She always had a smile to offer and a nice thing to say, she loved her husband Bill and her family was very dear to her. We will miss Julie at the office and I will miss my good friend. Until we meet again.

Julie was my first cousin on her Dad's side. I remember when she was born, she made all the papers. When Julie was born she was very pre-mature and the size of a box of salt. Aunt Helen & Uncle Thomas were so proud of her and all she achieved. So sorry we have lost such a kind and generous person.

Julie, we met in 2000 at Centex and became fast friends and had so many fun times together!!!! I will never forget the hundreds of times we met up at Gecko for seafood tacos and drinks with Rhonda and Pam. I even drove across town that one time on ice coated roads and slid all the way there to meet you and for drinks at that! I remember thinking as I was sliding across a bridge, is this a good idea? But it was GECKO! So I kept going. Nothing would stop us (well except rain for you.. NOTHING would get you out if it was raining!) You introduced me to a 'New Diet' (Adkins) where we could eat all the bacon and cheese we could get down. We went furniture shopping and bought our leather couches together, used the same contractors to make repairs to our houses, used the same housekeeper, even if she did try your shoes on and steal eggs from the fridge. You and your daddy planted pansies in my front yard and made it beautiful, we went to San Antonio for a weekend and you stopped with me on the way back to meet my Mom. You cooked the best Thanksgiving dinner I ever had at your condo and you, me, your Daddy and Coco ate like kings! I can't count the number of times I had to drive you to the repair shop after fender benders on that gold Taurus that you drove... But you paid me back seeing how you drove us to the lake the time my Sebring broke down and I parked it in your driveway all weekend. I really am sorry that we scared you so bad when the boat almost sank because we forgot to put the plug back in, but you were such a good sport about it. I will never forget any of these times. You were always there for me. I am so thankful that you met the love of your life and moved back home to be with your family and found true happiness that you deserved. Know that I will always love you.
