Funeral services for Katherine S. Wright, 96, of Kent, WA will be held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel with Reverend Don Joseph officiating. Interment will be in the Hooks Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m.
Mrs. Wright was born October 14, 1913 in Springfield, KY and passed away June 24, 2009 in Olympia, WA. A longtime resident of Beaumont, she moved to Washington four years ago to be near her family. She was a charter member of Northwood Christian Church and was a retired auditor in the accounting department of Sears.
Her daughters, Sara Elizabeth Wright and Bonnie Wright Kemp, and her husband of 63 years, C.C. Wright, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Thomas C. Wright of Lake Jackson, TX; daughter, Frances Charbonneau of Kent, WA; six grandchildren, Liberty Wright, Catherine Wright, Chris Lona, Katie Kemp Medlin, Benjamin Kemp, Sara Kemp; and six great-grandchildren, Bonnie Medlin, Amanda Jo Lona and Robert Mansel Lona, Jayce Kemp, Owen Arendt, Chloe Arendt.
