Kathy Marie Duckworth

Kathy Marie Duckworth, 58, of Bridge City, passed peacefully in her sleep on June 10, 2009, the cause is unknown at this time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Steven Leger.

Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. There will also be a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Monday.

Kathy was born on December 29, 1950, in Orange, Texas. She was the daughter of Sherman and Dorothy Foreman Bland. Kathy was a mother and a housewife.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sherman Bland.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Stewart Duckworth; mother and step-father, Dorothy and Alex Barras; daughter and son-in-law, Desiree and Robert Willingham of Bridge City; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Rickol Duckworth of Bridge City; grandchildren, Kara Willingham, Keith Willingham, Garret Duckworth and Megan Duckworth; brothers, Steven Bland, Gerald Bland, Glenn Bland, Michael Bland and Ronnie Bland; and sisters, Beverly Gary, Irene Bland, Dorothy Bland and Melissa Comeaux.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Glen Bland, Ronnie Bland, Gerald Bland, Glen Vail, Robert Vail, and Robert Vail.

She was loved and cherished by all that knew her. She is greatly missed.

Stewart,Desiree,and Ricky. Kathy was such a warm and loving woman. I remember the days i was a young mother of a very fussy baby. She guided me through very hard times.
