Funeral services for Katie Owen, 89, of Beaumont, will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Amelia Baptist Church. A private interment will follow. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Owen was born November 30, 1920 in Carmel, LA to Eddie and Corrine Roblow and passed away on January 25, 2010 in Beaumont. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Armon D. Owen; son, Jerry W. Owen and wife Margaret, of League City; daughter, Patricia Ann Braden and husband, Jay, of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Armon Brown, Charlie Brown, Tracie Wagner and husband, Kyle, April Suggs, and husband, Billy; and nieces, Linnie, Pauline, and Shirley.
