Ken Ballard

Kenneth Rahn Ballard, 72, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010, at Baptist Orange Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010, at North Orange Baptist Church with Reverend Lynn Ashcraft, retired pastor and Reverend Scott McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow at Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Joaquin, Texas on July 28, 1937, he was the son of Martin Luther Ballard and Precious Bessie Wimberley Ballard. Ken was very passionate about his business as CEO of S & T International Inc. in Mauriceville which was named for his children. He loved to travel, snow skiing, his horses and especially golf. Ken attended North Orange Baptist Church. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Ken is survived by his wife, Linda Ballard of Orange; daughter, Tamara Barnum of Houston; son, Scott Ballard of Orange; and grandchildren, Kenneth Ballard Barnum and Oliver Barnum.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Earl Williams, Pete Sterling, Jerry Hughes, Darby Byrd, Cimron Campbell, Randy Brown, Buddy Hahn, Donnie Mires, Dewey Scott and Melvin Hogan. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Fellow Golfers in the Points Group at Sunset Grove Country Club.
