Lamar Augustus Pillow

1944 ∼ 2013

Lamar A. Pillow, 69, was born March 2, 1944 in Sour Lake, TX to Jo Alpers Seagroves and William Pillow and passed away December 23, 2013 in Vidor, TX. He was a long time resident of Beaumont prior to relocating to Vidor about six years ago. Mr. Pillow worked for over 35 years in the oilfield business in all positions including tool pusher and also was the part owner of Big 4 Well Service after serving in the Vietnam War with the US Army.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret Leger Pillow; his daughters, Sandra Jo Christian and her husband, Chuck and Annette Marie Litten and his son, Bobby Pillow; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; his brothers, Sidney and Elbert Pillow; his sister, Sherry Lanehart and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Lamar was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Freda Stringer and Ruth Ann John son.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, December 28 from 4:30 - 8:00PM at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home on 11th Street, Beaumont.
