Lambert L. Barkman, 91 was born December 27, 1921 in Fouke, AR to Lambert and Mable Lynn Barkman and passed away September 4, 2013 in Beaumont, TX. A gathering of friends and family will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, September 12 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow the gathering at 7:00 PM.

Mr. Barkman served his country in World War II with the United States Army Air Corps, the forerunner of the US Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in December, 1945. He also worked as Sales Manager with Eagle Lincoln-Mercury Auto Dealership in Dallas prior to relocating to Beaumont about 3 years ago.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Ann Hall; his granddaughter, Kathryn Ann Hall and his brother, Frank Barkman and wife Paquita. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine (Wilkerson) Barkman; his parents and his sister, Elizabeth June Higgins.
