Laura May Nichols, 75, of Orange, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, September, 4 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Following services, cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.

Laura was born on September 26, 1933, in The Bronx, New York. She was the daughter of Walter and Agnes Ulich. When Laura was young she enjoyed fishing and hunting with her dad. As she got older, she enjoyed bowling, reading, puzzles and going to the beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Phillip Knox of Orange; grandchildren, Brian, Jeremy, Sarah and Megan Knox; and seven great-grandchildren.
