Lee Strong, 77, of Orangefield, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Southeast Texas Medical Center.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Gary Wheeler and Jack Forbis. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

Lee was born on January 20, 1932, in Shelby County, Texas. He was the son of Alvin and Viola Wilburn Strong.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Viola Strong.

Lee is survived by his wife, Angela Strong; daughter, Viola La Pointe, of Bridge City; son and daughter-in-law, James and Renee' Strong, of Orangefield; son, Joe Atkinson, of Silsbee; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Johnnie Higginbotham; brothers, Cecil Strong, T.W. Strong, Lynn Strong, Waymon Strong, and Jerry Strong.
