Graveside services for Lenis Joseph ?L.J.? Breaux, 77, of Sour Lake will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Breaux Cemetery in Sour Lake. Visitation will be Monday, August 1, from 5-7:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
L.J. was born February 11, 1934 in Vinton, Louisiana to Iowa and Alice Breaux and passed away at his residence Saturday, July 30, 2011. A resident of Sour Lake since 1969, he was a former longtime resident of Beaumont and a 1954 graduate of South Park High School. L.J. was retired from self-employment and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Billy Thillet and Kelley and Lance Carver; 3 sons, Mitch Breaux, Damon Breaux and wife, Becky, Eric Breaux; 5 grandchildren, Deanna Coates and husband, John, Chris Westfall, Erica Breaux, Katy Carver, Adam Carver; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Kay West and husband, Vernon; and his former wives, Diana Breaux and Ruth Breaux.
He was preceded in death by his brother Merlin Breaux.
