Lennart William Carlson

Lennart "Carl" William Carlson, 80, of Orange, died Friday, January 8, 2010, in Orange.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Reverend Timothy Norris.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Madison Lodge will conduct a Masonic Service at 8:00 p.m.

Carl was born on November 10, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the United States Air Force. He was also a member of the Madison Lodge 126. He was Presiding Officer of Orange Chapter #78 Royal Arch Masons of Texas and Presiding Officer of Orange Council #45 of Royal and Select Masters of Texas. After retiring as a designer draftsman from Schaumberg & Polk, he worked as a substitute teacher for West Orange Independent School District. He also was the owner of Alfredo's and co-owner of Carlos Pizza along with his wife.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Esther Carlson-Wessel and Gustav Edward

Wessel of Sweden.

Lennart is survived by his wife, Patricia Carlson; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Brianna Carlson of Harlingen and Guy and Elizabeth Hull of Winston Salem, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Kevin LaRose of Orange; grandchildren, Gabriel Carlson, Jordan Hull, and Ashley and Cody LaRose; great-grandchild, Braelyn Anthony James Baugh; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and John Emory of San Antonio and Jane and George Harp of Indiana.
