Lenora Lopez

Lenora Lopez, 79, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Monday, February 16, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Tom Phelan. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Lenora was born on September 6, 1929, in Port Arthur, Texas. She was the daughter of John and Lenora Torres Martinez. She loved to grow all kinds of flowers and was a past member of the Greenway Garden Club in Orange.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Martinez, Arthur Martinez and Alex Martinez.

She is survived by her husband, of fifty-five years, Manuel Lopez; Son, James Lopez, and wife Kimberley, of Mauriceville; daughters, Jeanne Payne, and husband Daniel, of Dripping Springs, TX, Jeri Droddy, of Temple, TX; Grandchildren, Ashley Lopez, Torey Lopez, Jon Lopez, Alex Payne, Eric Jacobs and Hunter Droddy; brother, Joe Martinez, of Scottsdale, AZ; sisters, Aurora Elizondo, of Lumberton, and Elouise Pregler, of Bulverde, TX, and many nieces and nephews.

I wanted to let Mr. Lopez, Jeri Lynn and family know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. You could always count on hearing a strong, happy smiling ~ high pitched voice when she'd speak.
