Leon R. Tiller

Leon R. Tiller, 74, of Bridge City, died Saturday, September 26, 2009, in a Houston hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009, in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial of his cremated remains will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Mr. Tiller was born in Carthage and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from DuPont Sabine River Works, where he was a supervisor.

Preceded in death by his wife, Billie Sue Tiller and sons, Rusty Buntyn and Jimmy Buntyn, Mr. Tiller is survived by his grandchildren, Jaime Broussard and her husband, Chris, of Missouri City, Leon Buntyn and Anthony Buntyn, both of Bridge City and four great grandchildren.

I graduated with Leon Tiller from Carthage,Texas 1953. We were very good friends and ran with another good friend of his Lynn Vincent. Leon and I went to school together at Carthage and graduated in 1953. I worked on the class reunions and I had contact at those times. Leon wanted to be with us the last reunion, but just could not. I am so sorry to hear of his death.##imported-begin##Jane Bogue##imported-end##
