Leona Granger

Leona Granger, 84, of Orange, Texas died Monday, June 14, 2010, at a private care facility in Orange.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Burial will follow at Nibletts Bluff Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home in Orange.

Mrs. Granger was born in Orange, Texas on August 30, 1925. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Granger; son, Larry Granger; sister, Bertha Trahan; granddaughter, Trixie Broussard; and step grandson, Craig Phelps.

Mrs. Granger is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Mary Granger of Mauriceville; granddaughter, Leslie Veitch and her husband, Randy; step-grandchildren and their spouses; Melissa and Eric Bruno, Scott and Andrea Phelps, Tammy and Jeff Melancon and Mandy and Adam Ardoin.

She is also survived by her 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Bruno, Jeff Melancon, Adam Ardoin, Scott Phelps, Tyler Bruno, Randy Veitch and Dustin East.
