Letha Mae Jordan

Letha Mae ?Sally? Jordan passed away February 3, 2011 in Beaumont, Texas. Sally was born in East Texas and spent most of her life living in East and South East Texas until moving recently with her daughter, Mitzi Taggart, in Vinton, Louisiana.

She was born September 2, 1923 to John Luther and Ada Mudd Ponder. Sally worked for a while as a dental assistant but spent most of her life in the most important position of homemaker and mother and grandmother.

Surviving Sally are her daughter, Mitzi Taggart; 3 grandsons; one granddaughter; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 1 daughter.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 7, 2011 from twelve noon until three p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger, Texas at four p.m.
