Libby Dalton Merritt

Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Dalton Merritt, 50, of Orange, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008, at her home.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 28th at First United Pentecostal Church in Orange, with Reverend Gary Wheeler, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Libby was born in Princeton, West Virginia, the daughter of James H. and Odessa Dalton and she was a member of First United Pentecostal Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Michael Merritt and father, James H. Dalton, she is survived by her daughters, Olivia Laughlin and Alicia Merritt; mother, Odessa Dalton; brother, J.W. "Jeff" Dalton; and seven nieces and nephews.

I used to work with Libby when she worked at Mobil Chemical O/A Plant. We hung around with each other when she worked there and she was always a great friend to be around.
