Lillian Odell McCullough

Lillian Odell McCullough, 91, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on November 8, 2023.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Friday, November 10, 2023, at Sabine Tabernacle in Beaumont, Texas. Officiating will be Reverand Jimmy Boykin. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm, Friday, November 10, 2023, at Sabine Tabernacle in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Teneha, Texas, on August 7, 1932, she was the daughter of John Meredith Hitt and Anna Hitt. Lillian was the church secretary for Sabine Tabernacle for many years. Lillian and her husband George worked with the youth groups and took communion to the shut ins. Church was a huge part of Lillian’s life. She was an excellent artist, using paints as her chosen medium, and loved gardening. Her positive attitude and friendliness meant she never met a stranger. Lillian loved spending time with her family especially her great grandchildren. Lillian loved life and was always happy. She showed love and kindness wherever she could and was the sweetest, kindest person you could have ever known. She was truly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George McCullough, Jr.; her parents, John Meredith Hitt and Anna Hitt; her daughter, Kay McCullough Hodge and husband Harry Hodge; her daughter-in-law, Gayle Sharpton McCullough; and brother and sisters.

She is survived by her son, George Randall “Randy” McCullough and wife Penny; her grandchildren, Josh Randall McCullough and wife Amy, Jared Daniel McCullough, Micah George McCullough and wife Tommie, and Mark Andrew Hodge and wife Kasey, Paul Michael Hodge and wife Angela; her great grandchildren, Jamison McCullough, Jonah, Connor, Logan, and. Mollie Hodge, and Lincoln Hodge; her siblings, James Hitt, and Elizabeth Hodge and husband Lewis; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
