Lorena Petry, 88, of Beaumont was born November 4, 1922 to Louis and Fedora Broussard Mouton in Delcambre, LA and passed away September 7, 2011 at Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital. A gathering of friends and family will be from 9:00 ? 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 15 with the Rosary beginning at 10:30 AM at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM, officiated by Father Robert Zawacki, SSJ, under the direction of Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.

Mrs. Petry faithfully prayed the rosary every day and watched the Catholic Channel on Cable TV. She enjoyed talking to her friends and family on the phone. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary, Court No. 64, Ladies Sociality and Senior Citizens Organizatons.

Those left to cherish Lorena?s memory are her daughter, Jo Ann Petry, Minneapolis, MN; son, Edmund J. Petry, Houston, TX; brother, Nelson P. Mouton, Sr., Beaumont, TX; grandchildren, Dr. George Rodney Petry and wife, Terie, Oklahoma City, OK, Wendell Petry and wife Tracey, Beaumont, TX, Christina Johnson and husband Rodney, Missouri City, TX, Shanna Petry and Anthony, Richmond, TX, Konya Brown and husband Patrick, Baton Rouge, LA, Edmund Cooper, Beaumont, TX and Edmund Everett Petry, Houston, TX; 10 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by close family friends and caregivers, Catherine Lewis, Louella Petry and Wendell and Tracey Petry. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Petry, her parents; sons, George Petry Jr., James A. Petry, Louis J. Petry, daughter, Janice Marie Petry and sister, Leona Mouton.
