Lou Harris

Louella "Lou" Harris, 75, of Orange, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with the Reverend Jeff Bell, officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Born in Basile, Louisiana on July 15, 1933, to Alexson and Edna Fuselier LeDoux Foxworth, she had been a resident of Orange County for most of her life.

Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will truly be missed by all.

Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lois Abbott; brother, Preston LeDoux, and very special companion, Jole', Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Carl Lee Harris of Orange; five sons, Floyd Harris and his wife, Angela, of Euless, Jerry Harris and his wife, Lonna, of Spring, Jackie Keith of Bulverde, Glenn Keith of Pearsall, Alan Keith of Seguin; six daughters, Barbara Apgar and her husband, Butch, Brenda Mire Robert and her husband, Dale, all of Gonzales, Louisiana, Pam Sims and her husband, Richard, of Orange, Phyliss Matte and her husband, Joe, of Vidor, Sandra Keith of Pearsall and Connie Beane and her husband, David, of Port Aransas.

Also surviving are her brothers and sisters-in-law, Rollo and Wanda LeDoux, Wilbert and Gladys LeDoux, Vic and Pat LeDoux; 31 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; special family friend, Debi Rankin.

Pallbearers will be Brian Mire, Erick Wagstaff, Ryne Harris, John Keith, Alan Keith, Harry Lee Apgar and James Glenn Keith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Keith, James Keith and Dave Beane.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital and Intrepid Home Health Services for the tremendous care given to Mrs. Harris.
