Louise Goforth

Louise Goforth, 84, a lifelong residence of Orange, died Sunday, August 23, 2009, at The Meadows in Orange.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with Reverend Lynn Ashcraft, officiating.

Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in West Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Louise was born in Goose Creek, Texas on August 22, 1925. She was the daughter of Tom Newman and Emma Teel Newman. She was a member of Park Avenue Methodist Church, Altrusa and Retail Merchants Association. She was also the manager of the Credit Bureau in Orange.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harding "Johnny" Goforth; brother, George Newman; and sister, Anne Knox.

Louise is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Paulette and Rodney Bellett of Orange; son and daughter-in-law, Keet H. and Deborah Hayes Goforth of Orange; grandchildren, Jeffrey Bellett and his wife Page, Paul Bellett, Keet G. Goforth, Emily Goforth Lowe and her husband Mike; and great-grandchildren, Ashli Bellett, Brody Paul Bellett, Hanna Lowe and Cooper Lowe.

Memorial contributions may be made to North Orange Baptist Church, 4775 16th St
